Before God and the people of God,

I vow for ….. years (or the whole time of my life)

to live in Poverty, through

Non-attachment,

Simplicity of Life and

Stewardship of Creation;

 

to live in Chastity, through

Community,

Availability and

Loving Relationships;

 

 

and to live in Obedience, through

Listening,

Openness to God, and

Conversion of Heart;

 

according to the Holy Gospel and the

Rule of the Ecumenical Order of Saint Francis and Saint Clare.

 

Therefore with all my heart

I give myself to this Community

that through the work of the Holy Spirit,

the intercession of the Holy Theotokos Mary,

our Father Francis, our Mother Clare, and all the saints,

and with the help of my brothers and sisters

I may fulfill my consecration

to the service of God and of God’s people.
